Safety

Your safety comes first

A careful, conservative approach to walking in the desert.

01

Before the journey

We review every application, share a preparation plan, and hold a pre-departure briefing on route, conditions and expectations.

02

During walking

Groups walk with guides at a sustainable pace. Stages may be shortened, adjusted or skipped depending on conditions.

03

Heat management

Walking is planned around the cooler hours of the day, with shaded rest during peak heat wherever possible.

04

Hydration

Water is available throughout walking days. Participants are encouraged to drink regularly, before feeling thirsty.

05

Rest

Regular rest stops are built into each stage. Anyone can pause at any time.

06

Emergency procedures

The team carries first aid supplies and emergency communication, and follows defined procedures to reach local emergency services.

07

Support vehicles

Support vehicles accompany the group so participants who cannot continue walking can be transported.

08

Participant responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own fitness, medication and following team instructions on the route.
